Retirement Protectors, Inc. is a licensed insurance and financial services firm based in West
Des Moines, Iowa. We provide services across Medicare, retirement planning, life insurance, and
legacy planning.
Retirement Protectors, Inc. and its representatives do not render tax, legal, or accounting
advice.
2. Use of This Website
This Website is provided for informational purposes and to facilitate access to our services.
You agree to use this Website only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You
agree not to:

We do not offer every plan available in your area. Currently we represent 14 organizations which offer 111 products in your area. Please contact Medicare.gov or 1-800-MEDICARE to get information on all of your options.

Security Administration, the Department of Health and Human Services, or the Center for Medicare
and Medicaid Services. This site contains decision-support content and information about Medicare,
services related to Medicare, and services for people with Medicare. If you would like to find
more information about the Medicare program, please visit the Official U.S. Government Site for
People with Medicare at www.medicare.gov.
5. Appointments & Booking
Our Website allows you to schedule appointments with RPI team members. By booking an
appointment, you agree to provide accurate contact information. Appointment availability is subject
to change. We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel appointments as needed, and we will make
reasonable efforts to notify you of any changes.
6. Text Message Communications
By providing your phone number and consenting to receive text messages from RPI, you agree to
our SMS Terms & Conditions. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by

7. Privacy
Your use of this Website is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect,
use, and protect your personal information. By using this Website, you consent to the practices
described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Connecting Your Medicare Record (Blue Button)
In plain terms: You can choose to connect your Medicare account so we can see
your Medicare claims and serve you better. It is optional, you authorize it at Medicare.gov, and
you can disconnect at any time. Nothing in these Terms reduces the privacy protections we promise
you in the Privacy Policy.
8.1 The connection is optional and requires your active agreement
RPI offers Medicare beneficiaries the option to connect their Medicare record to our service.
The connection is made through the Blue Button API, operated by the Centers for Medicare &
Medicaid Services (“CMS”). Connecting is entirely optional. It is not a condition of using this
Website, and it is not a condition of receiving any service from us.
You must affirmatively opt in. Before any connection is made, we present this
Section and our Privacy Policy and require your express agreement. We do not treat your continued
use of the Website, your silence, or your inaction as agreement to connect your Medicare
record.
8.2 How the connection is authorized
You authorize the connection at Medicare.gov, using your own Medicare credentials, through
CMS’s own authorization process. We will never ask you for your Medicare.gov username or
password, and you should never provide them to us. We do not request, access, use, or
share Medicare.gov login credentials.
8.3 What we do with your Medicare data
What we receive, what we use it for, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and what happens
when you disconnect are described in full in Section 7 of our Privacy Policy,
which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. In summary: we use it to serve you, we do not
sell it, and we do not share it with third parties except as you direct or as the law requires.
8.4 Your right to disconnect
You may disconnect your Medicare record at any time. You do not have to give a reason, and
disconnecting does not affect any other service we provide to you. You can do it in two places: at
Medicare.gov, in your list of connected applications, or by contacting us at
compliance@retireprotected.com or (515) 992-5000.
Section 7.7 of our Privacy Policy governs what happens to your data when you do.
8.5 What Medicare claims data is, and is not
Medicare claims data reflects what was billed to and paid by Medicare. It may be incomplete. It
may lag behind the care you actually received. It may contain errors made by a provider or a
payer. It is a payment record, not a medical record, and it does not replace the records your
healthcare providers hold.
Nothing we derive from your Medicare claims data is medical advice. Section 3 of these Terms
applies to it in full. Coverage, plan, and enrollment decisions should be made with a qualified
professional. Where appropriate, verify them against Medicare.gov, 1-800-MEDICARE, or your State
Health Insurance Assistance Program.
8.6 Our obligations to CMS
We access Medicare data under the CMS Blue Button API Terms of Service and we comply with them,
with the Privacy Act of 1974, with HIPAA, and with all other applicable federal and state law
governing the protection and disclosure of this information. We do not disclose information
obtained through the Blue Button API to any other individual or third party without your specific,
explicit consent or that of your authorized representative.
8.7 Your privacy protections control
Nothing in these Terms limits, contradicts, negates, or detracts from the protections
described in our Privacy Policy. If any provision of these Terms conflicts with our
Privacy Policy with respect to Medicare data obtained through the Blue Button API, the Privacy
Policy controls, and the provision of these Terms does not apply to that data to the extent of the
conflict.
This includes Sections 11 and 12 of these Terms: no limitation of liability and no
indemnification provision operates to reduce the commitments we make to you in Section 7 of our
Privacy Policy regarding the use, sharing, retention, or deletion of your Medicare data.
8.8 Changes to this Section
Section 13 of these Terms permits us to modify these Terms. That right does not apply to this
Section 8 or to Section 7 of our Privacy Policy in the ordinary way: changes to either are subject
to CMS review and approval before they take effect, and to advance notice to you, as described in
Section 7.9 of our Privacy Policy.

All content on this Website — including text, graphics, logos, images, and software — is the
property of Retirement Protectors, Inc. or its licensors and is protected by applicable

10. Third-Party Links
This Website may contain links to third-party websites for your convenience. We do not control
or endorse these sites and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or
availability. Your use of third-party websites is at your own risk.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Retirement Protectors, Inc. shall not be liable for any
indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your
use of this Website. This includes, without limitation, damages for loss of profits, data, or other

either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability,

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Retirement Protectors, Inc., its officers, employees,
and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees)
arising out of your use of this Website or violation of these Terms.

13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Iowa,
without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use
of this Website shall be resolved in the courts of Polk County, Iowa.
14. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with
an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Website after changes are posted constitutes
your acceptance of the revised Terms.
Changes to Section 8 are governed by Section 8.8 and require CMS review and approval before they
take effect.
